Room 2's Garden

This term we planted plants in our class garden.  Each table team was responsible for planting.  We planted strawberries, basil and spinach, however the spinach died!  We are a little unsure why they died but we will plant something different next week.

Our garden is planted in pots because our classroom is upstairs.

Each week we have 2 gardners to water and move the plants into the sunlight.  Check out these pictures below.

Yabu Band

Last Friday the Yabu Band came to Tom Price Primary School for a visit. Dali talked to us about his bands music and about his story.  his story was about becoming a musician and travelling around Western Australia and South Africa.  His key message was to STAY IN SCHOOL!

At recess the Yabu Band sung I am Australian in Aboriginal language.  I really liked how it sounded, it was so different to the English version.

I am Australian

Room Two's Facial Experience

The UP4IT Team came back to Tom Price Primary School last Friday. Room 2 was lucky to learn how to give facial massages to the other students.

We learnt to look after our skin in different ways, and how to keep it healthy and clean.  It was fun and we hope our tutor Michelle comes back next year to give us more awesome facts and tips.

By Carli and Jay-lee

Oh and by the way my skin feels better than ever. 🤗

Michelle demonstrating the facial process with Jesse. It was a relaxing experience for Jesse and he felt like he wanted to go to sleep.

Lichelle completing a facial with Carli.

Jay-lee the next up coming beautician, working her wonders on Emily.  Jay-lee said it was fun to be a beautician and would be keen to do it all again.

Samara working her facial MAGIC with Summer. Summer had this to say about her facial... "I was a little bit excited but it felt a bit hard on my face."

If you eat...

Sour Gummy Worms

Before today I thought that sour gummy worms were the best lollies ever, until today I found out that the gelatin is made of pig parts!

Sour gummy worms are made with, corn syrup, sugar, citric acid and lactic acid. Horrifically the gelatin is made from pig skin!

They taste so super delicious! When they touch your tongue you can just feel the sourness in your mouth and it’s amazing!

It looks like a small thick strip with two colours and sugary powder on top.

If you eat sour gummy worms for a whole week you will be the unhealthiest person in the world. You would get really sick because it has no nutrients. Your teeth would rot because of the high sugar levels. You would get really super fat because of all the sugar.
