Recount Writing - Going to Porthedland

On my holiday I went to Port Hedland.

I went to Port Hedland on Sunday, I went with my Mum, Dad and big brother.

We went fishing at a grassy bank and I caught a lot of fish.

I even caught a really big fish.

Room 2's Performance Piece at the 50th Celebrations

In 1964 the Mining Giant Hamersley Iron saw an opportunity and signed a huge contract.  In January 1965 many workers traveled to the North West to be a part of something extraordinary.  It was more than a 9 to 5 job with weeks and months away from family and loved ones.

Room 2's item was completed with a dance number, moving to Working on a Chain Gang.

The Milford Street Shakers

On the 10th of August we went to the Milford Street Shaker.  It was really cool and REALLY loud.

I learnt that when everyone cooperates the sound the music makes is EPIC!  I reckon the best instrument was the electric guitar because it makes a cool sound.

Tom Price primary School 50th Celebration

On Friday 21st of July Tom Price primary School celebrated their 50th Anniversary.

The thing I like the most was the concert.  I liked it because I was new and I got to be part of something BIG.

It was scary at first but then I was just being myself.  It was great because we all had to cooperate, I got to learn a lot about others in my class.

Milford Street Shakers Concert

I hobbled up to the High School for the performance, because I have a sore foot

I enjoyed the song when all he students needed to clap  to a rhythm and sing "na nana na na nana na".

It was great walking in the sunshine, I felt really good I can not wait to do it again.
